Hello, Bookworms; I’ve really diversified the types of novels I read this past year. I’ve always loved thrillers but never seemed to read quite a lot of them. Interestingly, I went through a thriller binge phase this year, where I read about 6 in a row? Either way, I love them; they are beautiful and will always be the moment. I want to highlight some of my all-time fave thrillers in this list, as well as a few I’m looking forward to reading myself. 2. a.m. is arguably the best time to read them; fight me on it.

Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn
A classic. Simply a classic. I did have quite a few opinions on the ending…but overall, this was a binge read, and I hadn’t intended it to be one. The writing is beautiful; the varying perspectives of the main characters genuinely thicken the plot naturally and the immense toxicity of the individual characters. Guys, trust me on this one and read it(actually, trust me on everything while you’re at it).

The Stand by Stephen King
I’ve read quite a few books by Stephen King, and although I’ve been disappointed a few times, I have to admit that nobody does it quite like him. So this thriller by his is right up my alley, and I can already tell it’s going to be a favourite.

One by One by Ruth Ware
I’ve mentioned this book a few times on my blog, which surely won’t be the last. This book had me in a chokehold from the moment I read the first page, and frankly….it still does. Simply a magnificent read; the environment is just chef’s kiss, the vibes are TRULY immaculate.

Invisible Girl by Lisa Jewel
Reading this thriller really reminded me why I love them so much. Books like this one make me wonder why I read any other genre(kidding, of course), but something about these books is just incomparable to anything else. But if you’re looking for a thriller that has a LOT going on, pick this one up.

No Exit by Taylor Adams
If you would like insight into how much I love this book, here’s the first sentence of my Goodreads review(written about…2 minutes after I finished it).
AHHHHHHHHHHH OKAY OKAY DEEP BREATHS PEOPLE!! I HAVE JUST GIVEN A BOOK FIVE STARS. DO YOU HEAR THE SIRENS? THIS IS A BIG DEAL PEOPLE.
Yes, it’s true; I do indeed love it. This book is a work of art, thriller lovers; pick this up, and BE ANGRY that you haven’t yet read it.

Every Last Fear by Alex Finlay
This little thriller is simply a scrumptious and terrifying story. Although being afraid isn’t exactly pleasant, getting scared by the book proves it’s a good thriller. So trust me when I say I HID under my cover for nearly an hour after I read this. Yes, I am 18, and yes, I was scared…..SO WHAT???

The Girls are all so nice here by Laurie Elizabeth Flynn
This thriller features many flashbacks for a bit of a change of pace, but don’t fret; it’s still insane. Instead, readers watch the plot unfold and follow the remaining characters’ journey, and the book settles into a lovely rhythm that makes for an enjoyable read.

I’m Thinking of Ending Things by Iain Reid
When I said this author is incredible, I meant it. I’d read anything this man publishes, and I know I’ll love it. So, if you are on the hunt for a thriller that will leave you questioning what it is you just read and have you almost killing yourself hiding under the covers from fear, read this.

Verity by Colleen Hoover
I have yet to read this, nor anything else by Colleen Hoover, but boy, I cannot wait. I’ve heard phenomenal things, very creepy things about this book, so I’d recommend you add it to your tbr.
