Happy Birthday Seaweed Brain
– The Last Olympian
Hello Bookworms, in honour of Percy Jackson’s birthday, which is August 18th(if you didn’t already know), I am making BLUE COOKIES! This recipe is a combination of my own and a bundle of others from experience.
Here’s a quick history on why Percy loves blue food: In The Lightning Thief, Percy’s mother Sally Jackson is dating Gabe Ugliano(ew ew ew) and he tells her that there is no such thing as blue food/drink. Sally being petty(we love her) from then on she goes OUT OF HER WAY to make blue food. Percy would get blue candy, blue cookies, and even a blue cake for his birthday. Not to mention, when Percy consumes nectar, a healing drink that replenishes energy, he tastes his mom’s blue chocolate chip cookies. Now I don’t know about you, but blue, warm and soft cookies sound AMAZING to me right now.

Ingredients :

½ cup brown sugar
¼ cup white sugar
1 cup softened unsalted butter
2 eggs
2 teaspoons blue food dye
2 cups plain flour
1 cup chocolate chips
2 teaspoons vanilla
A pinch of salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
Instructions
Step One:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Mix together the butter, eggs, all the sugar, vanilla and the food dye. (You can use an electric mixer)

Step Two:
Add the flour, salt, baking soda and chocolate chips. (Feel free to add a little more flour if necessary).
Step Three:
Plop the cookies on a cookie sheet at whatever size you would like. Put the cookies in the oven for 12-15 minutes. Recipe makes about 18-20 cookies. When finished baking, remove from oven and let cool. Oh, and I almost forgot… ENJOY!

I didn’t post for Annabeth’s birthday, although she is JUST AS IMPORTANT!!! So here is one of my favourite quotes from her :
I am never, ever, going to make things easy for you, Seaweed Brain. Get used to it.
Here’s an iconic Percabeth quote from my favorite book in the series :
We’re staying together, he promised. You’re not getting away from me. Never again.
The Mark Of Athena
I am BEGGING all of you to check out this post about Percabeth’s history, it is truly beautiful.
Thanks for reading! Have you read Percy Jackson? Did you try my recipe?
The rivalry ends here, Percy said. I love you, Wise Girl.
